Topshop Make-up Collection: Cream Blush

Topshop Make-up is linked here  but unfortunately I can't find links for either blush - go in store and you should be able to pick these up!
L-R -  Neon Rose and High Five

Topshop's blush in Neon Rose was the first Topshop product that I picked up after reading about it endlessly in the blogosphere, so really I have to blame (or thank!) it for getting me completely obsessed with Topshop's make-up products. The quality of the blushers are great, it is a cream to powder formulation and they apply like a dream. I always thought that I would never need any more blushes but thanks to a recent purchase from Fragrance Direct of cough... 7..... Dainty Doll blushes, this theory has now been taken out of place and I can now justify picking up another blush or two. I mean I do need it right? Must. Justify. All. Purchases...

Neon Rose

Neon Rose is a pinky orange toned blush. It looks horrifically bright in the pan, but trust me it is super blendable and blends well into the cheek. The great thing about it is, is that you can build up the colour to be a bright as you like, so if you did for some reason fancy a super bright cheek then this is possible with this. Not only did this blush get me into Topshop make-up but actually it got me into using blush too. When I purchased it, I can't quite say that my make-up repotoire was quite up to the standard that it is today and so I will have to admit that I only had a couple of blushes, probably by Barry M or Natural Collection that didn't really do anything for me and so I didn't bother using them. After purchasing this one, it opened me up to the whole world of blusher and really I haven't looked back since. This shade completely brightens your whole face, and it works really well with my complexion.

High Five

This was the blush I bought after Neon Rose, I was feeling a more pink shaded blush and thought this would be great. The quality of the blush is just the same as Neon Rose and so I fell in love just the same. I wouldn't be able to tell you which I use the most as I usually just use whichever I pick up first but I love them both the same. The colour is lovely, and works just as well with my skin tone as Neon Rose.

L-R Neon Rose and High Five

I have included some thick swatches to show the colours a bit better as I think it comes out better this way. I haven't blended so that you can see the colour, but you can see both in use in a few previous FOTD's if you look through my previous posts.

Have you tried any of Topshop's blushers? What's your favourite shades?

  4. These sound and look great! I've never tried cream blush, I think I'm afraid of it not blending and I'd end up looking like a clown, haha.
