Dressing Up: New Years Eve

Dress - Topshop   Belt - Topshop   Boots - Topshop    Socks - Primark

So NYE finally came around. After searching endlessly, I finally found a dress which I previously posted about here. I went for quite a subtle look with my make-up as I thought the dress did all the talking, it was pretty sparkly! I went for a subtle smoky eye using my Naked Palette with a nude lip and just to jazz it up a bit, I added a super sparkly nail. NOTD post coming soon...

We went to the Queen of Hoxton in Shorditch near Liverpool Street tube station. We went there before to see my friend Alice sing, and the venue was beautiful and so decided it'd be perfect for New Years.

On NYE it was Mat Horne's (Gavin, from Gavin and Stacey!) club night Session - which was amazing! There is a Wig Wam on the roof, which is amazing, and there was a silent disco in it. This was the main reason we wanted to go, reminiscing about the silent disco we had on Freshers fortnight, how could we not go!? Just before we were about to see in the New Year, we headed out onto the decking outside of the Wig Wam to look over London and watch some fireworks when it hit 12 o'clock, still dancing away with our headphones. It was amazing! Unfortunately we did miss both of Mat's sets, but I did manage to catch a glimpse of the back of his head... I have actually seen him DJ before and so wasn't as disappointed as I would have been if I hadn't!

These are just a few of the pictures I had from the night. I don't actually have many as of yet as I took a disposable camera out with me. Will see what the pictures are like and may post a few more to show you all.

I had such a lovely night and I literally couldn't recommend the Venue any more. If you get a chance, you should definitely visit it! It is definitely something special.

Happy New Year everyone! What did you get up to for New Years?

You can see my look on lookbook here!
