The Body Shop Home Fragrance Oils

I'll hold my hands up and let you all know about my new obsession, The Body Shop Home Fragrance Oils and as you can see from the photograph you can see I have quite the collection. A few drops into my oil burner with some water and a little tea light underneath and you're done. It fills the room with the scent and it is amazing. The majority of my collection is super fruity and refreshing as generally that is my favourite type of scent but I do also have Aloe and Soft Linen which is much more of a clean scent. On to the fruity scents, there's Pomegranate and Raspberry, it's super sweet and smells amazing, the first scent I fell in love with at The Body Shop. Satsuma had to be mine for my love of the whole range, Green Tea and Lemon is super refreshing, Exotic isn't my favourite as it's a little strong for me, Mandarin and Tangelo is my current favourite, I also have the candle and the diffuser... I told you I was obsessed and last but not least I have one of the Christmas scents Cranberry Joy, which actually I don't think is too festive so will happily use it all year round!

These are great quality and I couldn't recommend them any more! And so my The Body Shop obsession continues...

2013 Favourites: The Makeup

2013 was the year I REALLY got into beauty, I've experimented and really started getting to know what I like and so I thought I'd share a little series of my beauty favourites with you, even though it is a little late... 

Starting with the base, I've never really been a foundation wearer, I do on the odd day, and I did have a bit of a stint in 2013 where I wore it on the regular but it's not been an all year kinda thing. When I did decide to wear a base I always picked up the Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser with SPF 15 in shade 1. I love the Moisture Surge range and this product works perfectly with my favourite moisturiser, the only thing I will say is that although it worked perfectly with my summer skin and slightly after, it is a little too dark on my winter skin. On the concealer front I'm always reaching for my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade no. 2, but we all know how great it is right? and the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat, a perfect on the go product; it blends so easily and brightens up your skin, amazing! 

On to eyes and I've been loving a mixture of my Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette with my MAC palette using the shades All that Glitters and Satin Taupe, they blend together perfectly. For the eyeliners I've been mixing it up with my No7 Gel Eyeliner and my all time favourite Barry M Intense Black Eyeliner Pen, the colour payoff on this is amazing, the blackest of black! On to the mascara, and the one I keep going back to no matter what, Bobbi Brown's Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening Mascara is the only one for me. 

Towards the Brows and my firm favourite was the HD Brows palette that I received in a Glossy Box ages ago. I didn't actually do my brows before this and since receiving it I've never looked back. Put it this way, I won't leave my house without them filled in anymore... 

For adding a bit of colour and highlight, for the first part of the year I loved the Topshop Cream Blushers especially in the shade Neon Rose, I was obsessed but as the colder weather started coming I was on the hunt for something with a little bit more of a deeper tone and Smooch's Blusher in Glamour Puss* was exactly what I was looking for and I used it almost daily since I got it. For this highlighter, I fell in love, I spent so long hunting for this baby and once it was mine, even though there was a horrid finger print in it (which I try not to think about, at all...) I knew it was meant to be. Topshop's Glow pot in Polish is the most perfect glowy highlight, it's perfect. 

Let's face it, I'm obsessed with lipstick and so narrowing it down to just a couple was so hard! 2013 was the year I began to be a bit more experimental with makeup and so my love of the darker lipstick shade was born. Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Lipstick in shade 12 Forbidden Burgundy was my 'treat' for the year, and boy was it worth it. Another favourite had to be Topshop's Limited Edition Lipstick in Wicked, such a beautiful deep red shade. 

So that's it on the makeup front. Perhaps I'll experiment and branch out even more in 2014? Keep you're eyes peeled for the rest of my 2013 favourites!

What I Got For Christmas

Okay, so I've been a little MIA lately and I am so sorry. I've tried and tried to blog, I actually took these photos a while ago but life kept getting in the way. I have some changes planned for Studs and Dreams in the near future and I honestly cannot wait, I really hope you can't too! I was thinking about the sort of post I wanted to come back with and I thought about the posts I'd been loving and What I Got For Christmas posts are definitely one of my favourites so I decided to post one of my own, even though it is quite late... I hope you don't mind. 

This shows the majority of what I got for Christmas, I left it a bit late to pull together everything I got but this was the most of it along with money and vouchers etc. I recieved an Olympus camera from my parents and I was over the moon. I haven't had a small compact camera for quite a while and I really wanted a great quality one to take around with me, maybe to some events and also one that records in full HD for when I decide to bite the bullet and vlog. It will happen. I also got some snazzy lens shot glasses, how cool are they? I've seen the mugs/glasses but i've never seen shot glasses! Amazing! I also got the new book from Lindsey Kelk's I Heart series, I Heart Christmas, I'm currently halfway through and am loving it so far! I also got a few other bits from my parents and am so thankful! Callum bought me the nail polish and the candles along with some clothes that I failed to photograph, sorry! He got me down to a T and I'm in love with them all. My Nan got me this Yankee Candle set, without realising my new obsession with candles, I was so happy with them and definitely didn't expect them along with some money and other bits. 

Last but not least, I actually received a present from the Very Secret Santa and got this lovely Mylene Klass Gift Set*, the packaging is so cute and I'm so excited to give the bronzer and highlight a go. 

I'm so happy with what I got this year and haven't actually had much of a chance to give much of it a good go of yet, I can't wait to!

London Collection Mens: #SuperdryLCM

My first taste of London Collection Mens or any sort of 'fashion week' for that matter and boy was it good. Ellie and I head over to #SuperdryLCM for an evening of fashion, great music and even better company. Unfortunately we missed the fashion show but as you can tell from the picture it looked amazing! Samuel L Jackson made an appearance and I had a little bit of a fan girl moment when I saw Rankin getting into his car and of course Nick Grimshaw who was DJing for the the after party. 

We made it just after the show finished and just in time to see Grimmy DJ. It was as amazing as I'd imagined. A great cocktail list of which we definitely made use of. They tasted so lovely so we definitely couldn't say no, could we? The warehouse-styled space was filled with beautiful people; so many bloggers, models and celebrities!

Christmas Gift Guide: For Him

As Christmas is rolling around the corner - 10 days away to be precise, how did this happen?! I thought about doing a series of Christmas gift guides but then as everyone has done them I thought again. Girls are super easy to buy for; with all the sales and discounts around and with all the deals on beauty and clothes there is something for everyone and I doubt you'd need help selecting this (if you do, ASOS have 25% off everything at the minute and they have a great gift range!) so I thought about what we do all need help with at Christmas time: THE MEN! I've set up a little gift guide with a few ideas of what you could buy for the men in your life. It's a tough one but here is what I'd buy!

The Rip n Dip Nermal Cat Beanie is a firm favourite of my boyfriend's and is something I will need to buy for him in the future. He's been obsessed since he's seen it but unfortunately as it comes from America I wouldn't be able to get it here in time. Each beanie comes with a different Cat logo, none will be the same! So it's super different and super personal to you. 

Again with the personalised bandwagon, I was having a look at Home Wet Bar as most men love a good drink, and I thought the range of personalised Beer glasses they had are great! I chose this one as it wasn't too much and loved the simplicity of the single initial. Perfect for any beer drinker!

Touch Screen Gloves are amazing. I didn't even know about these until recently when I was shopping with my lovely friend Jess, she introduced them to me and I've been obsessed ever since. Really need to get myself a pair... and everyone else I know! I found a few nice pairs on ASOS and with their 25% off code at the minute you really can't go wrong. I chose these Fred Perry ones for the gift guide as they're a little more luxurious than others but there are plenty more to choose from! 

Perhaps Christmas is a great time to get the men in your life into skincare and what better place to start than with Liz Earle. This try me kit is a great way to get them started and see whether they actually use it. Callum loves his Liz Earle bits and I've seen plenty of other Blogger boyfriends using them so it'd be great to give yours a go with it! 

Something to get into the festive spirit? Christmas jumpers are all the rage this year and there are SO many around. Primark have some great ones in but that's if you can manage to get your hands on the sizes and styles you want. This one is one of my favourites but unfortunately I didn't see this one in store when I went shopping yesterday! You can pick them up on ebay with a bit of a price hike if you do really want one though! 

Trainers are always a good shout for the men. They wear them daily and they collect them just like we do with our shoes. I chose these Lakai Skateboarding ones as the black is such a wearable colour. 

A Lomo camera is a great idea for all those photographer guys amongst you. They're great fun even if they don't already have a collection of cameras, plus the pictures that come out of them are lovely. 

So that's just a few bits that I think are pretty great ideas. I'm still on the hunt for some presents though so would love to know what you'd go for!

New Year, New Hair Do? Well Nearly...

So... I got my hair cut! I usually go for the chop around once a year, maybe a little longer sometimes. I put it off and off and off and then get lots of it cut! I usually hate going so I don't often. I went to Headmasters in Harrow to use up a voucher I got at one of the Company events and I was pleasantly surprised. I had Stuart doing my hair, and he was great. I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to hair but he was so helpful! Usually I go a little shorter but I didn't quite brave it this time as I didn't want to hate it and well... I didn't! He styled it so nicely and actually I was really happy with it! It does take a little longer to style now, and I haven't quite got the hang of it yet but I will. Just give me time... 

Stuart said something really interesting while cutting my hair, he said that a lot of people have been coming in for the chop with the newly colder weather so it made me wonder whether any of you have braved it? Let me know in the comments below!
