The Perfect Date Night In

I'm all for going out on a date night. I mean one of my favourite things to do, well ever, is going out for dinner (as you can probably tell from from my Eating in London series) but I'm such a grandma at heart so I love staying in equally as much, but I suppose it's one of those things I don't really think of as a date night as it's just staying in, you know?

Jacamo got in contact to see whether I'd be interested in having them send me a date night in package* to go alongside their latest campaign 'Let Your Shoe's Do The Talking'working with the idea that the first thing women notice is a mans shoes. I mean I'm not one for this, I'm sure I'd notice if the guy had terrible shoes but it's definitely not the first thing for me. Though saying that I have friends who totally live by this so I can definitely vouch that it's the case for some ladies out there! So, of course I said yes to getting my hands on the package. I wanted to see what they thought would be the perfect date night in, but there was one catch, I had to give all hands over to my boyfriend. Of course I obliged, but I'm terrible with surprises, I wanted to know what was in the box as soon as we got our hands on it, but for the sake of the post and the idea Jacamo was going with, I let it slide this time.

The package included a step by step plan of the evening and included things like wine, chocolates, a candle, a movie and more comical things like a chat up line book. The evening was lovely, though not too far from what my boyfriend and I do already. Starting the evening off with a bubble bath, then onto some dinner and a movie. Perfect!

For dinner, of course we opted for a takeaway. I ALWAYS order on JUST EAT*. I think it's been a bit of a habit ever since I discovered the sit in my first year of University. It's one of those things I know really well and it's never let me down so I just go with it each time. There are great deals on the site and the best bit, it's so easy to order and lets you pay online. So none of that realising you don't have any cash on you 10 minutes before the delivery is due to arrive! Just Eat have got their new app which makes it even easier. Sometimes I even order before I get home! All you have to do is search by location or postcode, and then you can pick the kind of food you're in the mood for - they've got it all - pizza, Indian, Chinese, whatever you want, they'll have it and then you order. Easy! I love that you can also check out the reviews as although the website is great, I can't say that for all of the takeaways, just make sure you check these out and you shouldn't have a problem.

As you can tell my perfect date night in is pretty simple but it's perfect and there's nothing I would change it for!

What makes your date night in's so perfect?

*Date night in package was sent by Jacamo and I was given a voucher for Just Eat for review, but all views are my own, promise!
